BEHLMAN (Hauppauge, NY) has introduced the Power Passport CE a new solid state frequency converter / inverter that delivers 1350VA of clean, regulated AC power in a 5.25"high bench top chassis, that easily converts to a rack mount unit, for far less cost than competitive models.

The Power Passport CE can simulate any single phase world wide utility for voltage and frequency as well as aircraft and shipboard power. The unit provides a continuously adjustable output voltage of 0-135 VRMS or 0-270 VRMS and frequency is switch selectable at 50, 60, and 400 Hz. 100% of rated output is available into any power factor load. Total harmonic distortion is 1% typical. Input power is 230 VAC +/- 15%, 47-63 Hz via an IEC 320 receptacle.

Output connection can be made via a front panel European "Schuko" connector or NEMA connector. A digital readout of true RMS voltage is provided. The Power Passport CE is ideal for testing electronic products for export or to power equipment manufactured in a foreign country. With dimensions of 5.25"H x 17"W x 17"D and a weight of 75 pounds the unit is ideal for local bench top power or rack mounting with the optional rack mount kit. The unit is CE marked for sale in the European Community.
